While there are features in the 3CX Softphone that are specific to the 3CX IP PBX platform, the softphone will also work properly with most any SIP standard-based IP PBX platform such as Asterisk, trixbox, and others.

Changes/Fixes from previous beta version

  • the OK/Cancel button is not wrongly displayed as pressed from time to time
  • Plantronics USB plug/unplug no longer disconnect current connection
  • properly brings up to front when is displayed normally but under another window and an incoming call is ringing
  • an user confirmation is required when voicemail number is first time accessed by button
  • added SIP domain field to avoid 403-forbidden issue on providers requiring a SIP domain
  • proper handling computer’s hibernate/standby state
  • unregistering when computer logoff/shutdown, no longer letting “ghost” phones on the PBX
