3CX Version 10 brings a wealth of new features and enhancements and one nice improvement is the ease with which you can provision some phone models. The Grandstream GXP2100 and GXP1450 series phones are excellent examples of how this new provisioning works. Simply put, you plug a phone into your network, 3CX will detect it, you then specify either a new extension or existing extension, and the phone will reboot and get setup all automatically.
In this article we take a look at configuring the new Grandstream GXP2100 IP Phone with trixbox Pro. With the Grandstream GXP2100, some of the work in configuring the trixbox Pro side is done for you automatically. However, since this phone is brand new, it only does about half of the work and you need to do the other half which should only take a minute or two.
