    hhamlin,

    Can you provide a bit more info?

    What version of trixbox are you using? CE or Pro. If CE, what version?

    What kind of phones are you using?

    Using Trixbox CE with Yealink phones. We have 15 trixbox systems that are running and DO light the lights.... only this one slice is having problems

    Hamlin,

    What firmware version are the phones on? Please make sure you are on version .50 as per this post:

    With my T28P's I had to turn enable 'Subscribe for MWI' under Account->Advanced to get the Message indicator to work.

    Also, i set the MWI subscription period to a value like 20 seconds instead of an hour (3600)...otherwise the message indicator would either not come on after someone left a VM or it would clear after you checked the messages quick enough.

    I am not 100% pleased with how this is working, but it does work for now. (T28P's using FW 2.60.0.100 and HW: 1.0.0.4)

    I'd also like to add something else about this MWI issue. After some research and testing I have made the following discoveries.

    You do not have to have to enable the MWI Subscription on the T28P's after all.

    The problem was with how the extensions were setup within trixbox itself. Go to PBX Settings->Extensions and Select an Extension. Scroll down to the device options section and look at the 'mailbox' field. Make sure all the field reads something like:

    101@default

    and not

    101@device

    Having @device in there causes issues with SIP NOTIFY being sent/received with the phone.

    If it say's '@device' change it to '@default'. Update trixbox config. Go disable MWI Subscription and set the MWI timeout back to 3600 on your T28P.

    Dial *EXT and leave yourself a VM. The MWI should light up and it should also clear up after you delete the messages and hang up.

    I am not sure what cause this to happen with the extensions in trixbox. I did use the bulk extension tool...so there may be an issue with that.

    Thank you so much for posting this. I have been trying for a week to figure this out. I changed @default and it works. I use Elastix but it's the same setting.

    Just happened to see this thread while researching another issue. I just deployed several Yealink phones and had the same issues with MWI not lighting and while messing with the phone options I could not get it to work even after applying the FW (9.61.0.85) to the SIP-T20P.

    I did find this link and applied the solution which is working perfectly, at this point.

    pollmailboxes=yes
    pollfreq=30
