About the client

KidZania is a unique park combining fun and education. The park recreates how life is lived with streets, buildings, shops, automobile services, banks and more. Children can choose one of more than 100 different roles to play at the park. While the children are in character, they have to socialize, obtain knowledge about their role and make decisions. They also learn about economics, civil education and teamwork as they develop their imagination and become more independent.

Initial Requirements

The park wanted a centralized audio solution, having one type of music played in the park that would be same everywhere and in every building – in the bank, coke factory, radio station, newspaper, car service station, and fire station. Personalized sound would be played through a place speaker after children entered that place. KidZania also needed a centralized solution for making announcements at all locations in case of an emergency.

The Implementation

Speakers are installed all over the park playing one kind of music. Only one 2N NetSpeaker is installed with a powerful amplifier that interconnects several speakers. Every building has a standalone 2N NetSpeaker with a single loudspeaker in the building’s ceiling to play music and make announcements after the children have entered. Every 2N NetSpeaker is connected with each other by a fiber LAN Network to a centralized server room where the NetSpeaker server resides.

Benefits and Result

KidZania can control all the 2N NetSpeakers installed in the system from the 2N NetSpeaker Console. If the connection between the 2N NetSpeaker server and 2N NetSpeaker fails, the SD cards inside the 2N NetSpeakers can be used to continue services without any interruption. The solution is very robust and offers 24/7 use. In an emergency, announcements can also be made to all locations where 2N NetSpeakers are installed.
