ObiHai continues to innovate and add new features to their cool ATA/Gateway device and this time around it is the ability to use Google Voice to make free phone calls within the US and Canada using the OBi110. You can also make calls to other countries with Google Voice’s incredibly low [...]
The Obi110 from Obihai is so much more than just another ATA that it can really take some explaining to talk about everything that it can do. The Obi110 can not just act as an ATA but can also be a bridge to a PSTN line or SIP account, and via its peer-to-peer network can allow one device to make calls out from another device.
What is an OBi110? At its most basic level its an analog telephone adapter but that just scratches the surface of what it can do. Any ObiTalk device can directly dial any other device with zero configuration. The OBi110 can also be connected to a PSTN line or SIP trunk for outbound dialing and other ObiTalk devices (OBi110 units, OBiOn app on a PC, iPhone, or Android smartphone) can be given permission to dial out through the unit to the service provider. This easy-to-configure peer-to-peer network can be utilized for friends & family, telecommuters, and even branch office connectivity.
